PROJECT VISION

Trailhead Studio was designed around the vision that a small space can still have a big architectural presence. Nestled among the trees, the studio draws inspiration from Scandinavian design, combining clean modern lines, warm natural materials, and large areas of glass that bring the surrounding woods into the experience of the home.

Much of what makes this project stand out, however, is tucked behind the finished surfaces. A super-insulated envelope and a collection of specialized building systems were carefully incorporated to create a space that performs at a high level through Maine’s changing seasons. The result is a cozy woodland retreat that feels modern and refined while carrying an impressive level of detail beneath the surface.
