PROJECT VISION

Dating back to the 1800s, Salt Water Farm holds generations of Maine history within its walls. The renovation aimed not to cover up that history, but to preserve it and modernize the functionality. The original character of the home guided each decision throughout the project. Historic windows were carefully restored rather than replaced, architectural details were preserved wherever possible, and modern systems and finishes were integrated to provide the comfort and performance expected of a home today.

The result is a careful balance between old and new. Salt Water Farm retains the warmth, craftsmanship, and quiet character of an early New England home while beginning a new chapter along the Maine coast.
